As part of efforts to encourage continuing education, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni on Tuesday awarded scholarship to 221 law students who graduated from various Universities across the Country.
The occasion took place at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Damaturu, which attracted dignitaries from all nooks and crannies of the state.
He revealed that “As you are aware, this administration places a high premium on quality education from the basic foundation through the tertiary, and professional courses such as Law, Accountancy, and Medical sciences among others.
“This explains why our government has been consistent in providing conducive environments in our schools through reconstructing destroyed and dilapidated schools, and establishing new ones. We have also been providing instructional materials and all the necessary teaching and learning equipment to our tertiary and health institutions.
“I am glad to state with a sense of fulfillment that the consistency of this administration in up-scaling the education sector has been quite fulfilling and fruitful as reflected in the performance of our students generally.
“It is gratifying that Yobe State has sustained a top spot with an unbeaten record in the Northeast sub-region, and among the states in Nigeria, providing such opportunities to our students to pursue professional certificates with ease.
