138

In a bid to foster increased productivity in 2024, Nigerian leaders and CEOs are being urged to harness the potential of their remote workforce. The call comes from Caroline Lucas, Director of Special Projects at TEXEM UK, a distinguished British leadership development organization.

The announcement was made through the organization’s official website, www.texem.co.uk.

Lucas unveiled a transformative initiative titled “Effective Leadership in a Distributed World: Pioneering Enduring Legacies,” designed for leaders in both Nigeria and the UK.

The groundbreaking program seeks to equip organizations with the skills required for effective remote leadership in today’s evolving work landscape. The key focus areas include building trust, enhancing productivity, and optimizing leadership communication. Scheduled to take place from March 25 to March 27, the program promises to enhance organizational resilience, ensuring enduring success and sustainability.

Distinguished faculty members delivering sessions during the program include Prof. Roger Delves, Professor of Practice in Leadership and Associate Dean at Ashridge Executive Education; Prof. Paul Griffith, Senior Vice President of Products at Ashridge Executive Education; and Ambassador Charles Crawford, Founding Partner of The Ambassador Partnership LLP.

Lucas highlighted the unique hybrid nature of the program, combining virtual sessions with a three-day UK immersion experience. This immersive experience will feature tourist visits and specialized training. According to Lucas, TEXEM’s methodology, featuring case studies, aims to enhance participants’ cognitive skills, analytical rigor, and ability to navigate ambiguity.

The director emphasized the manifold benefits of the program, encompassing enhanced collaboration, cost savings, increased productivity, global reach, swift response to market changes, job satisfaction, flexible scheduling, creative thinking, innovation, reduced environmental impact, scalability, data-driven decisions, enhanced customer relationships, crisis resilience, brand reputation enhancement, accessibility, and adaptability.

Delegates are expected to develop essential skills for understanding and managing human resources in a distributed work environment. Previous participants from Nigeria have lauded the program’s structure, participatory nature, and relevance in navigating business uncertainties.

Shobo Ademoye, Director at LASACO Assurance PLC, expressed satisfaction, saying, “I like the way the program was structured, more often most programs would have had the guided tour on the last day, which more often than not does not allow for full participation.”

Kolade Aiyelabola, Associate Director at Oak Pensions, commented on TEXEM’s adaptability, stating, “I’m not surprised because I know the pedigree of TEXEM. The beautiful thing about TEXEM is that they adapt their training courses to take into cognizance the environment in which they operate.”

Dayo Babatunde, Senior Partner at Ernst and Young, praised the program’s practicality, stating, “Highly interactive and very practical. High-profile speakers with an excellent pedigree and track record of professional achievements. Provided networking among participants.”

As the business landscape continues to evolve, TEXEM’s hybrid program stands as a beacon, guiding leaders toward effective remote leadership and sustainable success in the digital age.
