The former Minister of Power and too Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Taraba State Engr Sale Mamman has called on the people of the State to vote him as the next governor to enable him break the “34 years of stagnation” the State has experienced since creation.
Mamman made the call during his triumphant entry in the State on Monday evening where his teeming supporters trooped out in a motorcade in a show of solidarity and acceptance.
While addressing his supporters at his office in Jalingo, Mamman noted that the state has suffered severe bad governance over the years leading to stagnation that has been made worst by the present administration and vow to unseat the administration in 2027 so as to change the narrative in the State.
His arrival has sparked fresh conversations about the 2027 leadership race in the State, with Thousands of supporters positioning him as the preferred candidate for the State’s top job.
His speech was marked by a call for steadfastness and a critique of the State’s current trajectory.
”Taraba State was created 34 years ago, yet we remain lagging behind in the delivery of good governance. This stagnation has led to a visible lack of infrastructural development that our people desperately need,” Mamman stated.
He charged his followers to remain steadfast in their political convictions, emphasizing that his visit would pave the way for extensive consultations with supporters to determine his next line of action.
Mamman urge the people of Taraba to cast their votes in the 2027 elections based on the credibility of candidates, rather than being swayed by religious or ethnic sentiments.
He articulated a vision for ‘purposeful governance,’ pledging a roadmap designed to modernize decaying infrastructure and catalyze a rapid economic transformation.
This strategy, according to the former minister of power, aims to position the state as a competitive peer to its more developed counterparts while ensuring the administration prioritizes the welfare of the common citizen.

For many residents in attendance, Mamman’s return transcends a mere visit; it serves as a clear signal that the 2027 leadership contest will be far from the usual predictable race.
It is noteworthy of note that Engineer Sale Mamman has remained a staunch supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, consistently aligning his local efforts with the President’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
Taraba State recently became an APC State following the defection of the State Governor Agbu Kefas and most of the critical stakeholders from the PDP to the APC, and Mamman stands out as one of the most consistent APC politician.
With the political season beginning to warm up, Sale Mamman has undeniably set the pace, leaving no doubt that his influence in Taraba remains as potent as ever.
