ZAMFARA APC COMMENDS  MATAWALLE’S ADDITIONAL SECURITY MEASURES, CONDEMNS PDP’s OUTBURSTS

The Zamfara Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded additional measures taken by Gov Bello Matawalle to address lingering security challenges in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Sunday, by the state APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris

while reacting to some media publications credited to the state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against new security measures taken by the state government.

Idris noted that the new security measures by the state government was aimed at addressing security challenges affecting communities in the state.

He said the APC in Zamfara was in support of Gov. Bello Matawalle’s new measures to end banditry, so that rural communities would go back to their villages and sleep with their two eyes closed and without having any fear of being attacked.

“It is surprise and very unfortunate for someone from Zamfara, who is a living witness to the current terrible security situation in the state, condemning the additional measures taken by the ever concerned governor in protecting lives and property of residents.

“It is no longer news that Matawalle has exhausted all available avenues, to fight bandits and banditry in Zamfara, from reconciliation, to peace accord, and frim mobilizing resources to deploying equipment that can aid security agents.

“He also deployed security personnel to neighboring states and even neighboring Niger Republic, but the menace seemed unabating”, Idris lamented.

“Matawalle, since assumption duties, called on all Zamfara indigenes from within and outside the state, as well as Nigerians and non Nigerians alike within and outside the country, to help him in finding lasting solution to the banditry issues bedeviling the state.

“Many ideas were deployed on the state, but still, the problem persisted, so if the PDP, especially the Zamfara chapter, does not have a workable solution, it should let government do the needful to save citizens. he added
