Zamfara Assembly confirms commissioner, LG sole administrator nominees
The Zamfara State House of Assembly on Wednesday confirmed four nominees – two commissioners and two local government sole administrators, sent to it by Gov. Bello Matawalle.
The nominees were confirmed at the assembly’s plenary after the Majority Leader of the house, Alhaji Faruku Dosara, moved for their screening and confirmation.

The House Speaker, Alhaji Nasiru Magarya, had earlier read the letter containing the names of the nominees as sent by the governor through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello.
The confirmed commissioners are Alhaji Abubakar Damri and Fa’ika Ahmad from Bakura and Gusau Local Government Areas (LGAs) respectively.

Meanwhile, the confirmed sole administrators of Bakura and Gummi LGAs are, Dr Sulaiman Yarkufuji and Abubakar Dakitakwas respectively.
The speaker, while announcing the assembly’s decision after deliberations by the lawmakers, said the nominees were confirmed considering their experiences and good records at the various positions they held in the state.
He said the lawmakers unanimously considered and approved the nominees.
