ZAMFARA ASSEMBLY CONFIRMS DAMA AS IRS BOARD CHAIRMAN
The Zamfara House of Assembly has confirmed, Mr Akilu Dama as the new Executive Chairman of the State Board of Internal Revenue Services.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Tuesday by the Director General, Press Affairs and Public Relations of the assembly, Mustafa Jafaru-Kaura.
“The Zamfara house of assembly during its plenary screened and confirmed, Alhaji Akilu Dama as executive Chairman of the state Board of Internal Revenue Services.

“The Deputy Speaker of the house, Alhaji Musa Bawa announced the confirmation at the assembly’s plenary after the deliberations and recommendations by the lawmakers.
“This followed the receipt of the nominee`s nomination by Gov. Bello Matawalle,“he said.
Meanwhile, the assembly has been urged to immoralist its late members.
Ibrahim Tukur (Bakura Constituency) made the call in a motion under matters of urgent public importance.
Tukur said that the house should immortalise two of its late members, Muhammad Ahmad and Tukur Jekada for their contributions to the Sixth assembly and the state in general.
He said that Ahmad was killed by bandits last week while Jekada died in May 2020.
The spokesman also said the deputy speaker, Musa Bawa commended the lawmaker for the motion ordered a special prayer in honor of the late members.
