ZAMFARA ASSEMBLY EXTENDS LOCAL GOVERNMENTS SOLE ADMINISTRATORS  TENURE BY SIX MONTHS


The Zamfara House of Assembly has extended tenure of 14 Local Government Sole Administrators in the state by Six Months.


This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Wednesday by the Director Press Affairs and Public Relations to the House, Malam Mustafa Jafaru-Kaura.According to him the extension followed an executive request red before the floor of the house during the plenary by the Speaker, Nasiru Magarya.


“The house leader, Faruk Dosara while moving the motion said the extension is in line with the house standing rules 2012 as (amended).
“After various deliberations, the lawmakers unanimously agree with the motion for the time extension for a period of six months effective from yesterday 19th April 2022”, he said.


“In the same sitting, the house to screen and confirmed two Special Advisers nominees sent to it by Governor Bello Matawalle through the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe.
“The confirmed nominees were Kabiru Sahabi from Kaura-Namoda local government Area and Aliyu Muhammad from Gummi local government Area”, Jafaru-Kaura added.


“Also at yesterday’s plenary the house considered a bill for a law to provide for the establishment and management of  the state media corporation and for other matters connected therein 2022.
“The executive bill scaled its first reading during the plenary.

“The house also considered a bill for a law to provide for the Establishment of the zamfara state Transport Authority and for other matters connected therewith 2022.
