ZAMFARA POLITICS: 500 APC MEMBERS DUMP MARAFA’S CAMP FOR MATAWALLE
Over 500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have dumped Sen. Kabiru Marafa led faction and joined Governor Bello Matawallen Maradun led APC camp, led by Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau.
“Over 500 members of Sambo Dan-Ashafa family which is Sen Kabiru Marafa’s lineage in Zamfara have declared total support to Matawalle’s political band-wagon in the state.
“The family which was led to the state APC Secretariat by Malam Tukur Marafa were overwhelmingly received amidst cheers and songs at the party’s Secretariat Gusau.
“The leader of the family group, Malam Tukur Marafa said they were at the secretariat to declare their total support to the APC leader and governor Bello Matawalle”, Idris said.
“According to him, Matawalle’s stewardship as governor is bringing the state to the front burner in terms of modernization, improved way of life for the youth and women in the state.

“He also commended APC led government in the state for improved healthcare delivery services particularly building and equipping of 147 PHCs built in each of the 147 wards of the state as well as construction of new roads and the rehabilitation of existing ones.
“We appreciate the administration’s efforts in tackling security challenges especially the release of thousands of kidnaped victims from bandits’ captivity”, Idris quoted Tukur Marafa was saying.
He urged people of the state to continue to support Matawalle’s led administration and continue praying for more development of the state.
Responding, the state APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani who said words alone cannot express his excitement.Danfulani congratulated them for the bold step taken and realizing that Allah’s choice cannot be fought against.
The party chairman promised to carry them along in all the party’s decision and programmes.
He gave an assurance that the APC in Zamfara will continue to be one family with one voice under the leadership of Gov Matawalle.
