ZAMFARA SPEAKER COMMENDS MATAWALLE OVER APPOINTMENT OF NEW EMIR OF ZURMI
The Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasiru Magarya has on Wednesday commended Gov. Bello Matawalle for appointing Alhaji Muhammad-Bello Usman as the new emir of Zurmi.
The Zamfara government had on April 27 removed the former emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku over alleged support for banditry.
The state government had earlier announced the appointment of Alhaji Muhammad-Bello Usman as new emir of Zurmi.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the State House of Assembly Malam Nasiru Biyabiki.
He described the appointment as one of the best and deserving appointments.
“Magarya made the commendation while presenting a letter of congratulation to the new Emir in Zurmi town on Tuesday.

“The Speaker who was represented by Special Adviser to Gov. Matawalle on Printing and Publication, Malam Nura Musa described the Emir as God fearing, dedicated and transparent.
“He said the emir’s appointment is historical and a welcome development not only to the emir him-self, but to the entire lineage of Bani-Sambo Royal House and Zurmi emirate council and Zamfara as a whole’’, Biyabiki said.
He said that the Speaker called on the people of the emirate to cooperate and support the new emir and other traditional, religious and community leaders in order to promote unity, peace and general development.
The Speaker prayed that the achievement become a stepping stone for a sustainable development, peaceful coexistence and health living condition across the emirate.
Responding the Emir of Zurmi, Alhaji Muhammad-Bello Usman thanked the Speaker for his concern and having the people of Zurmi Emirate in his heart.
The monarch prayed Allah to guide the state government and leaders at all levels for the progress of the state.
