In an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday, Dominic Kenneth, a 33-year-old man allegedly involved in an incident resulting in severe harm to his neighbour, faced charges for the act.

Kenneth, whose address remains undisclosed, stands accused of causing grievous harm. Despite the allegations, he pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.

The prosecution, led by ASP Christian Okonofua, informed the court that the incident occurred on March 1, at approximately 12:20 pm, at No 1, Abdul Rasaq Street, Balogun area of Ikorodu. Okonofua elaborated that Kenneth purportedly inflicted severe harm on his neighbour and co-shop owner, Pascal Uche, during a confrontation, allegedly by removing one of his scrotums.

According to Okonofua, this action violates Section 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Under Section 245, if found guilty, the accused could face up to seven years in prison, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Magistrate A.O. Onalaja granted the defendant bail in the amount of ₦250,000, with two sureties each providing the same sum. Onalaja scheduled the case for further mention on March 14.
