Fulham Confirms Tosin Adarabioyo’s Departure Ahead of Chelsea Move

215

Fulham has announced the departure of defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who is set to join Chelsea. The 26-year-old is among 11 players leaving the Cottagers this summer as the club prepares for the upcoming season.

Adarabioyo joined Fulham in 2020 from Manchester City after loan spells at West Brom and Blackburn. Over his tenure with Fulham, he made 132 appearances for the Premier League club.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Adarabioyo has completed his medical with Chelsea, and an official announcement is anticipated in the coming days. This move marks the first signing under Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, who took over after the club’s successful effort to secure Adarabioyo over Newcastle.

Adarabioyo and Maresca have a history, having previously worked together during their time at Manchester City. This reunion is expected to strengthen Chelsea’s defense with Adarabioyo’s familiarity with Maresca’s style and tactics.

Adarabioyo has represented England 14 times at various youth levels. Although he has not yet made his senior debut for England, he remains eligible to represent Nigeria through his parents.

The confirmation of Adarabioyo’s departure marks a significant moment for Fulham as they reshape their squad. For Chelsea, his addition signifies the beginning of a new era under Maresca’s leadership, bringing in a defender with both Premier League experience and a connection to the new manager.

Fans of both clubs will be watching closely as the official announcement approaches, anticipating how Adarabioyo will impact Chelsea’s performance in the forthcoming season.
