Sallah: FRSC deploys 671 personnel, 11patrol cars, 1 ambulance for effective patrols hitch free festivities in Kebbi
The Sector Commander RS10. 2 Kebbi, CC, Yusuf A. Haruna has deployed 393 Regular Marshals and 278 Special Marshals (671 personnel ), 11 patrol cars, and 1 ambulance for effective patrols as part of efforts to ensure a crash free Sallah celebration in Kebbi State,
In a statement signed in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday by SRC Uko O. Uko, the Public Education Officer of the corps said the Sector Commander had directed that there had to be improved visibility of FRSC on the highways all through the season.
“During the Sallah Special patrol which runs from 11th to 17th May, 2021 staff will be drafted to strategic locations within the metropolis and five patrol vehicles will be along Sokoto – Tambuwal- Jega – Birnin Kebbi roads.

“In addition, the Ambulance of the Command with paramedics will be on 24 hours red alert for prompt response.
“The Sector Commander while addressing staff warned that no form of laxity will be tolerated.
“He further stated that the essence of the special patrol is to ensure free flow of traffic, prompt rescue services to crash victims and commuters who have issues and to ensure that any obstruction is removed within minutes to avoid vehicles running into it.
“He also directed a team to be dedicated to the major motor parks who will be engaging motorists on public enlightenment and distributing Road Safety flyers.
“The FRSC National Traffic Radio 107.1 FM Abuja will be on 24 hours daily throughout the season and motorists are advised to tune in for travel advisory and to report any anomaly on their route for prompt assistance.
“FRSC Toll Free line 122 is also available for calls if there is need for assistance.
The Sector Commander wishes all the good people of Kebbi State and people passing through the State a crash free Eid EL FITR Sallah season,” the statement said.
