Court remands man over alleged sexual assault of daughter
An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday remanded a 50-year-old man, Ramoni Seriki, in Kirikiri Correctional Center for allegedly raping his teenage daughter.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs O. O Kushanu, refused to listen to the defendant’s plea and ordered his remand until Sept. 11 for the advice of Director of Public Prosecutor (DPP).
The defendant, a transporter who resides at 33, Obasa Avenue, Ijegun, Lagos, was tried for sexual assault.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offence was commited on June 18, 2025, at the defendant’s resident.
Ademigbuji said that the defendant sexually molested his 13-year-old daughter while she was sleeping.
He said that the victim confided in her mother who had been separated from her father years ago.
According to him, the offence contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
