ABDUL’AZIZ YARI WON’T LEAVE APC, SAYS–LAWAL M LIMAN

The faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara under the former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari has debunked a story going around that Yari defected from the party to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The Chairman, Alhaji Lawal M Liman stated this in a statement issued in Gusau on Monday by its State Chairman Publicity Committee, Ibrahim Birnin-Magaji.

“Our leader, won’t leave APC, he won’t leave a house that he was not only one of its founders, but a strong, critical stakeholder for its survival now and beyond 2023”, Liman said.

He described the story as untrue, false, and lie being created by those who are politically afraid of the former governor, Abdulaziz Yari.

“You know, Yari’s-led faction of APC remained the highest and strongest political group in the state.
“The false story was fabricated by those who are scared of Yari’s political power and afraid of their political future beyond 2023.

“Yari is not only still in APC, but warming up for the National Chairmanship race of the party ahead of its National Convention in February 2022.

“I am calling on the general public to disregard such stories fabricated aimed to deceive the teeming supporters of the former Gov. who is currently vying for the National Chairmanship position of our great party.

“On the picture of the former governor and Sen Kabiru Marafa with the former Senate President Bukola Saraki and other APC stakeholders in the state circulating on social media, Liman said both Saraki, Marafa, and Yari were in Kaduna last Friday for the wedding Fatiha, daughter of National Chairman JIBWIS, Sheik Abdullahi Bala-Lau.

“That’s to tell you how Yari is not only politically connected in the country, but to show you how he was able to build bridges and goodwill across Nigerians”, Liman added.
