FG REASSURES COMMITMENT TO IDPs RESETTLEMENT IN ZAMFARA-FEDERAL COMMISSIONER
The Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Hajiya Iman Suleiman Ibrahim has assured federal government’s commitment to resettle all IDP’s in Zamfara.
The Federal Commissioner stated this on Monday while speaking to journalists after visiting Tsunami IDPs camp in Gusau, Zamfara.

The The National Commissioner was in Zamfara state for assessment tour.
She said that the visit is part of the federal government’s efforts of reducing hardship faced by displaced families by the current security challenges.
According to her the present administration in the country under President Buhari will continue to support lives of all categories of vulnerable persons.
“We will not relent efforts to improve living standards of vulnerable groups especially the IDPs”, Iman Sulaiman Ibrahim said.

She noted that the ongoing federal government’s resettlement city project in the state has already has reached 90 percent of completion.
“Federal government is very much worried about the security challenges facing the state and the nation in general”.
“The FG will collaborate with the state government to resettle all IDPs in the state.
“We are prepared to collaborate with the state government on resettling all the affected communities in the state to appropriate sites”, the federal commissioner explained.
“We are going to upgrade Tsunami IDPs camp by providing all basic facilities especially hospitals, school among others”, She added.
She maintained that FG is always concern on welfare of the IDPs especially the provision food and non food items and medicament to them.
“We are prepared to collaborate with the state government on resettling all the affected communities in the state to appropriate sites”. She said.
