Kebbi State APC Chapter inaugurates caretaker committees

The Kebbi Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), has inaugurated the State Caretaker Committees to run the affairs of the party pending election of new executives.

The Chief Magistrate of Birnin Kebbi Magistrate Court 1, Sama’ila Kakale Mungadi, performed the ceremony at the Presidential Banquet Hall, in Birnin Kebbi.

In his remarks, Arch. Bala Sani Kangiwa, Chairman of the State Caretaker Committee, said the whole structure of the party was dissolved in the Country following a resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) , in Abuja.

He explained that this necessitated the formation of Caretaker Committees to steer the affairs of the party pending the election of new executives.

“Those inaugurated today are: the 16 Caretaker members Working Committee of our party, 17 including I, myself.

“19 Non – Working Committee and 21 Local Government Areas Chairmen of Working Committee of the party.

“We will arrange how to swear in all the 225 wards’ Chairmen next week.

“It is time for us to work together because we are growing stronger” he said.

Kangiwa assured that the party would set aside personal interests and work together to make sure that the party continued to grow stronger across the Country, especially in Kebbi.

Earlier, the State Governor, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri, described the inauguration as democracy in action, expressed hope that the committees would contribute meaningfully to the unity and success of the party.

The Governor urged members of the party to give the committees maximum cooperation in order to deliver on their mandate.
