School Closure: Aliero University Directs Students To Resume School For Examination

The Management of the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA), has ordered the students of the institution to resume to school for the rescheduled second semester examination immediately.

It could be recalled that the university was closed on February 27, 2021, over students’ unrest on the alleged killing of a 22- year-old final year student of the Institution by suspected mob in Aliero town.

While directing the reopening of the university, the Registrar of the institution, Alhaji Musa Labbo Jega, noted in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, that the decision to reopening the school was reached after the due consultation of the school management and relevant authorities.

“ I write to inform all the students that, after due consultation with relevant authorities, the Vice Chancellor, has on behalf of the University Senate, approved the reopening of the University with immediate effect.

“In view of the above, the rescheduled Second Semester Examination will continue on Tuesday 30th of March, 2021.

“Accordingly, all students are directed to visit their university portal page to download letter of undertaking which will be signed by their guardians and submitted to the Heads of Departments on resumption,” the registrar said.
