SENATOR DAN’IYA CONFERRED WITH EMDRRI FELLOWSHIP CERTIFICATE


The Senator Lawali Hassan Dan’iya of Zamfara West Senatorial District in Zamfara State has been conferred with Fellowship Certificate by Environmental Management and Disaster Risk Reduction Institute (EMDRRI).


This was contained in a statement issued in Gusau by the Senator’s Aide, Malam Murtala Jangebe.
Jangebe said the fellowship certificate was presented to the Senator by the institute at an event in Abuja considering his track records in humanitarian and emergencies responses.


“EMDRRI is a training facility saddled with role of imparting professional know how of carrying out business and professional services and ensuring ease for persons involved in it.


“During the presentation of the fellowship certificate, the President/CEO EMDRRI, Mr. Stephen Ogboli said the senators’ scorecard on responses to humanitarian and emergency situations are the determinants used in his conferment with the certificate.

“While congratulating the Senator for the milestone recorded, Ogboli said the National University Commission of Nigeria (NUC) had recently issued a license for the Institute to operate as a full pledged university”, Jangebe said.


Receiving the Fellowship Certificate,  Senator Dan’iya described the fellowship certificate as a breakthrough to his personality and great honour to the Nigerian Senate, people of the Zamfara West and the entire state in general.


“He thanked the leadership of the Institute for finding him worthy of the conferment with the fellowship and pledged to identify with the Institute in its activities.


“Dan’iya further said that he would facilitate the legislation for establishment of the EMDRRI study campus in Zamfara State that would serve the North Western part of Nigeria.


“He dedicated the EMDRRI Fellowship certificate to the entire people of Zamfara West Senatorial District”, Jangebe explained.
