CMD Charges Staff To Engage In Frequent Exercise

In view of important of exercise to the body the Chief Medical Director, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto, Professor Anas Ahmad Sabir has urged the Hospital staff to engage in one sporting activity or the other, with a view to be fit physically and mentally for a better performance at work.
Professor Sabir made the call in Sokoto on Thursday at thoe finals of 2020 Inter union football competition “CMD cup” .
The Chief Medical Director expressed his delight over the unity brought about by the competition among different professionals and cadres of the Hospital.
He noted that the sporting activities have brought different professionals under one umbrella, dispite their social strata.
Professor Sabir congratulates the National Association of Nurses and Midwives (NANM)), UDUTHS chapter for wining the trophy for the second time. He similarly appreciates all the unions for their sportsmanship through out the fiesta and urges them to sustain the tempo.

Prof Sabir reiterated the readiness of the Hospital Management towards resuscitating sporting activities.
The National Association of Nurses and Midwives (NANM) UDUTHS chapter won the championship in a three nill penalty shootout after a full time two-two draw against Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) UDUTHS chapter.
In his remarks, the representative of the Director of Administration of the Hospital, Umar Abubakar Kigo extolled the significance of sports to well-being , He lauded the foresight of the organizers of the competition and urged that the gesture expanded to accommodate other types of sports with a view to attracting more participation among members of Staff.
highlight of the occasion was the presentation of throphy to the wining team, second runner and awards to the Chief Medical Director, Professor Anas Ahmad Sabir; Director of Administration, Alh.Abbati Dano El-hamzat; Chairman JOHESU, Sokoto State Chapter, Alh. Chika Shantali and Chairman Nigeria Medical Association Sokoto State Chapter, Dr. Umar Muhammad.
