Excitement as Gov. Kefas approves free medical treatment for traditional rulers in Taraba.

There is excitement from the people as the Taraba state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has approved a free medical checkup for all traditional rulers in the state.
Governor Agbu disclosed this in a press statement issued on Thursday by the his special adviser on Media and digital communication, Mr. Emmanuel Bello.
He said, the traditional rulers have been given the opportunity to go for medical treatment in any hospital of their choice so that they can stay focused and key into the revolutionary development agenda of his administration.
“The health of our Royal Fathers is very important and I wish to declare here that, they can go for medical treatment to any hospital of their choice for free. I wish to also state here that my administration is committed for ensuring improved welfare of our traditional rulers both, 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes chief, since they are the direct contact to the grassroots citizens.

“I am aware that traditional rulers have indispensable roles to play in the actualization of our administration’s blueprint because all our policies are people centered. As the closest authorities to the people, it is important for them to key into these agenda and to do so in good health and sound mind” he said.
Our correspondent recall that a prominent traditional ruler’s death a few years ago was blamed on government’s negligence of his plight and stored consequential bad will between the people and the then governor.
